Materials

 

 

All of our timber is kiln-dried from managed forests in the UK, France and Germany.

 

We commonly use Quercus Robur, or European Oak, which arrives at our workshop in boards up to six metres long. 

 

Our slate is from the Bursting Stone Quarry in Cumbria, known for its rich, dark olive green undertones.

 

We also use brass, steel, copper, glass, leather and acrylic.

 

Waste timber 

 

Our waste timber is cut to 20cm lengths and used as firewood.

 

Nicer off-cuts are sent to our local Men's Shed. We also donate any surplus hardware and tools.
